PAPERCRAFT OBJECTS: FINAL DESIGN
For my Final Papercraft Object, I created an avocado. This fruit is very precious because it reminds me of my childhood. In Chile, where I am from, buying avocado is a luxury. Therefore every time my dad bought us avocado, we would make a special dinner to enjoy every inch of it. Making this design was challenging, but I am happy with how t turned out. To make it, I used six sides polygons. I started by building it from the bottom to the top; I used five polygons and topped them on each other to give life to the figure. For my prototype, I painted the paper, but for this one, I decided to get colour paper that would match well the natural colours of the fruit. I hope you enjoy seeing it as much as I did making it!
Render Design: I made some changes to my final Design. I make it thinner to give a better aesthetic.
New Templates: I also changed the way I unrolled the body of the figure. I found this way easier to manipulate.
Cut Templates:
Final Product: I like how it turned out. I ensured the edges were well glued together to give it a neat outcome.
