PAPERCRAFT OBJECTS
For this assignment, I explore different planar shapes. Since it was my first time using Rhino, I started with simple shapes to finally move to more complex ones.
The first shape is a polygon that seems more complex than it is:
For my second shape, I used two pyramids. I used the Gumball command to place it upside down the other, creating a diamond shape:
I combine four different forms to create a chair for my third shape. I like to see funky shapes in chairs; therefore, I made my design inspired by Daniela's crystal formation design. Here is how it turned out:
For the other shapes, I created a disposable coffee cup. Since the teacher told us not to use round shapes, I started using polygon and playing with its length, width and height; this is how it tuned out:
For this one, I used a simple square. However, I used BooleanDifference to extract a part of the square and create a cross. Finally, I play with a square inside the holes to create a 3D cross design.
The last shape I did was a bike wheel. I used rounded geometric shape, however, to unrolled it I created a shape I could put together easily:
