MESH MASHUP: SELECTION AND REFINEMENT

The Healer.- After my classmates' feedback, my more potent piece was the deer with the plant antlers. Although I was not fond of it as much as them, I worked around that idea. I combined nature and feminity. I created a woman who follows the shape of the tree. If you look at Antoni Gaudi's art, you will find how nature inspired him. Nature is something I feel very connected too. Therefore, for this piece, I work with the idealized feminine shape and nature. I used a tree to create her arms and finish the ciloutte of a women. The fungus at the bottom of the tree symbolizes the healing substance. Lately, I've been learning about the healer power our bodies have. I've learned how understanding spirituality can give you the ability to heal your traumas and corporal pains. The idea of finding similarity between nature shape and the human body interested me to create this piece.
